An Autumn Wedding
I love burlap. I love bowties. I love autumn. I love vintage fashion. My friend Diane incorporated all of these things into her darling wedding a couple weeks ago. She and her new husband Eric whisked their families off to the hills of Gallatin and exchanged nuptials at a rustic, elegant bed & breakfast. It looks absolutely dreamy, and I'm oh-so-happy to see them so happy together!
I had the honor of sewing up 8 burnt orange bowties, and our friend Kelli had the honor of photographing the event. Kelli is so talented, I wish I was getting married just so she could take my picture. Okay well, not just so she could take my picture. But she sure has a knack for capturing magical moments.
Congrats Mr & Mrs!

Dia De Los Muertos

Happy day of the dead. It was my work/play/weekend costume, and I sure had fun being dead. (plus I'll take any excuse to wear a Betsey dress) I spent Saturday afternoon at Cheekwood, taking in the last days of Chihuly and soaking in the mexican culture festival with some co-workers. I had a lovely time, especially furthered by calavera mask making, mexican dance recital, cookie paleta, and avocado mas tacos. Que divertida! (I'm working on my Spanish, I promise.)

A friend sent me a link to Vivant, a fellow vintage and deer lover. I just adore her costume creativity. & check out her kissing film stills! What romance.
It is autumn. I was settling into nice, happy, comfortable routines and lifestyle, but that was not meant to be for now. Leaves are dying, new leaves are being turned, and it is not time for hibernation. Winter! Full speed ahead! Oh dear life, I will make the most of you. Whatever you throw at me, I will learn to embrace.

Leaves Turned Gold
The weather is cooling down and things are changing. I have moved into a lovely new home (pictures soon), redecorating, and reading so much literature and poetry. I create as I organise my new craft room.
Here's a sneak peak into the new autumn collection, modeled by the lovely Chelsea. Check out my shop for more!

Ways to keep warm!
Halfway through autumn, I cannot even believe it. So many fun things are happening, little projects of my own and of friends... here and there... I'm putting work into things and it will be interesting to see what develops and progresses. With the crisp turn of weather, and having moved into a huge, old house with my friend Rachel, I have been in the mood to stay at home, drink hot chocolate and cabernet (separately), have friends over for dinner, cuddle up, and make lots of things. It's been wonderful, to say the least.
I recently made friends with Rebekka, a talented pastry chef, and her husband Manley, a talented architect! Rebekka loves her her new sayooh accessories, and I just know I am going to love her baked goods. We will both be at a craft fair this weekend, along with about 15 other talented crafters and artists. Oh and the Mas Tacos truck!! Find us in East Nashville at the Walden building. Do some holiday shopping and warm up with a cup of coffee from Ugly Mugz! It's all going down this Saturday (November 15) from 9-5.
I have been playing with my camera some more, and doing shoots for friends now and again. It's always fun, with my bossy art direction followed by onslaughts of laughter! Feel free to check out NiTasha's music... and let's hope we see some professional model shots of Jenn sometime in the near future!

Also, if you're looking for some good Christmas time music, I have been listening to Choir At Your Door nonstop. I can't wait to buy their cd and see them play here. Goodnight, keep warm, drink lots of tea and cuddle up with your loved one!
